Today, we celebrated Mid Autumn Festival Celebration at Pei Chun Public School.

This was our 1st experience celebrating at Meredith’s school. Nigel & Renee were there too.  I was happy to be able to see Meredith’s friends.

We enjoyed ourselves and look forward to such events from school.

With my new Samsung Galaxy SII, I can now WhatsApp.  Meredith has been learning and using whatapps to her dad.

This was what she wrote to him.  All the chinese words were done by her without asking for help.  I am impressed with her. Eugene was delighted.  See the screen below and you will know why Eugene was so happy.

Today, we went to the zoo again as both Meredith and Keegan has no school.  As for Melissa, she skipped school.

It was a very sunny day and I forgot to bring Meredith’s cap.  She is very sensitive to light after the atropine drop.  Therefore, I lend her my sunglasses.  Guess what, Keegan also want.

Meredith having her eye sight checked after 3 days of Atropine drop. Degree drop from 400 to 275 for right & 150 to 0 for left, only with 75 of astigmatism. Will have her cool new progressive transition lens in 10 days time.

The side effects are light sensitive, allergic reactions and inability to focus near. That is why we got to make progressive transition lens.  The lens + the frame costs $420.00.  

The myopia control program is for 1 year. Got to put the atropine drop every night for 1 year and go back for review every 3 mths. Just hope everything goes well for her.

Today is Meredith’s 1st day of school in Pei Chun Public School.  Was delighted that she adapted to the school, teachers and friends on the 1st day.  She was lucky to have her Kindergarten friends, Ernest and Andres in the same class.  Gigi, Yu Zhe, Xin Yuan are in different classes.

The school only allows parents to be in school with them today.  Starting tomorrow, she will have to on her own. 

Meredith and her ipad.  During her BD, Ah Pey asked who wants ipad, call me papa… At first, Meredith did not want to call him but Eugene told her no problem, just call Papa and you will get an ipad.  So, she did and asked Ah Pey to honour his words.  Ah Pey said, ok, he will buy but just have to wait… Meredith said, Ah Pey, I can tahan…

Today was Meredith last day in Jessin Kindergarten after 3 years.  She will be starting her primary school education next year.

This year, she performed as Belle in ”Beauty & The Beast” dance.  Her prince is Yushe.

Am sure she will misses all her friends and teachers.

I am so proud of Meredith.  She was awarded National ASHR Gold Award for her Kumon.
